"Day of Timeless Beauty"
August 30, 2010
Dorothy Benson Center -
Sandy Springs, GA
Founders Alison O'Neil (BBYF)
and Mrs. Dorothy Benson, celebrate a great day for guests of
The Dorothy C. Benson Senior Multiplex Complex in Sandy
Springs, Georgia
Pampered to perfection, this
97 year old client is our senior of the day!
Top choice among services
offered are reflexology and massage.
Inevitably, touch is the key to everyone's happiness.
Volunteer Barbara Bastian
lovingly provides a rejuvenating moment for her client.
The greatest compliment of all is the "sleeping" client.
Men and women both enjoy
"shaping up".
Jason Pellar, owner of the Pellar Salon in Sandy Springs,
Georgia
For their delight and
erudition, BBY Special guest, Emory Internist who loves and
is a senior himself, Dr. Neil Shulman (a.k.a. Doc Hollywood)
performs delightfully for the crowd. Meanwhile the so-called
"Youngest Doctor in the "World", his son Miles (4), gives a
therapeutic kiss to 97 year old Sandra McBride. Nothing
makes you feel younger than a special kiss!
BBYF Board Member Nancy Boe,
Mayor Eva Galambos, PhD of Sandy Springs, Georgia,
Alison O'Neil and Program Coordinator, Moira Frank
*Note:
If your senior center or community would like to have a Day
of Timeless Beauty or a Lunch and Learn program at
your facility, please contact us!
BBYF provides a variety of
basic hygiene programs to the senior community to ensure
their health and wellbeing. Often seniors have skin, hair
and nail concerns which are easily compromised through
denial of their presence and can be exacerbated by medical
conditions and lack of proper care.
Services range from hair and
skin cleansing to more therapeutic interventions such as
foot care for Diabetics. BBYF also provides practitioners
with expert training in geriatric aesthetic™ health and
wellbeing while engaging these professionals in a volunteer
capacity.
